From the fiery core of mother Earth comes the beautiful volcanic glass Obsidian. The volcanic glass forms when lava cools rapidly and has little crystal growth.  It is smooth, sharp, and through out time has been used to fashion weapons.  Volcanoes occur across our planet and therefore, so does obsidian. 

The obsidian in these pieces are made from Golden Obsidian or Rainbow Obsidian. Both stones form when there are various minerals present in the lava (Rainbow) or the lava cools rapidly trapping tiny bubbles near the surface (Golden)
