This bracelet is a combination of uncommon materials. Pietersite and Bone.
Pietersite is a deep blue and gold stone that is rare and found currently only in Namibia, Africa. It is not common in jewelry; it is mined in limited quantities and difficult to obtain. For a short time in the 1990’s Pietersite was also mined in Hunan, China. The mine has since stopped producing. Discovered in 1962 by and named for Sid Pieters, the stones are blue and gold and related to Tiger’s Eye.
Ethically sourced from tribes in Kenya the brown beads of this bracelet are created from cow or yak bone.
