Solar Quartz forms in caves on stalactites. The core of this stone is moss agate. The stalactite is first sliced and then cut and polished to create the cabochon. I craft the bezel and set the stone to use as a focal piece in this necklace. No two of these stones are alike.
The Ghana glass beads are made from recycled glass that is crushed and then formed into beads.
The two are accented with an unpolished jade that captures the color of the moss agate in the center of the focal bead.
Jade - unpolished
Though not fragile, your necklace does requires proper storage to protect the stone. Store so that other jewelry pieces will not chip the focal stone. To clean, use a damp cloth with mild soap to wipe the stones and glass. If necessary, a silver polishing cloth will keep the sterling clasp, beads and setting bright.
